Thankfully the Mars Hill Anderson Rosenwald School did not experience any damage from Hurricane Helene.
The town of Mars Hill was spared the devastation and destruction that our neighboring towns experienced. We did have high winds on Friday, September 27, but not tornado type winds others had. Mars Hill Anderson Rosenwald School is in perfect condition and Ray Rapp makes sure all the leaves and twigs are blown away from the school.
Earlier this year, we made the decision to remove some trees that were leaning toward the school. I am sure this saved our historic Rosenwald School from being damaged or destroyed by falling trees. Since the storm, we are looking at other trees which may need to be trimmed or removed.
Thanks so much to Ray and Bob for keeping the grounds looking good all the time.
