DNCR Visits the School

Three officials with the North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources came to visit the School on Thursday, April 7, 2022.

They met with Willa Wyatt and alumni of the school to see the progress that has been made during the rehabilitation. Additionally, they reviewed how the Friends group has used the Hometown Strong Funds to help reduce the Digital Divide for program participates at the MHARS.

The special visitors were NCDNCR’s Secretary, Reid Wilson, Chief Deputy Secretary, Staci Meyer, and Deputy Secretary Tracey Burns. Margaret Newbold also visited.
