Interior Renovations Spring 2019

  Renovations have begun on the interior of the school. The ceiling joists have been repaired and additional wood has been added to the addition to give space for the insulation. Flooring Installed Along Windows

  Our volunteer crew did a great job installing the flooring this month! The flooring is now down on the long window wall. Concrete Skirting Removed

The school now looks like the original building, with only the brick piers showing.


Exterior Doors Stained

Jennifer Cathey, Restoration Specialist, worked with Dan Slagle to identify the correct color stain for the school’s exterior doors. Dan shared documentary photos and wood samples with Jennifer. School Update September 2017

The school is looking so much better!  Still lots of work left, but much progress made. We are planning for the National Heritage Registry team, who are scheduled to visit us Thursday, September 14, 2017 at 1:30, and the Joe Anderson Program, which will be held on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at the school.
